I'm on day 5 of the liquid diet and I'm going crazy. What are some things I can take in besides jello and protein shakes?

                                                  Thank you!

Warm tea helped me a lot. Another suggestion is broth. I was also allowed crystal light and Powerade zero. I know that if you are trying this hard that you will do great!!

I'm worried about that phase being really rough for me (it was with my lap-band... I thought I was going to die of boredom AND/OR starvation!).

I have one recipe i've come up with so far for it... Egg Drop Soup (minus the egg) for the clear liquids phase. You can add the egg to it once the soft foods start!

Here's the link: Blog

I made chicken broth and beef broth from scratch. The beef stock was so flavorful (internet recipe by Nick Stellino), it needed nothing else to be satisfying. The chicken broth started getting boring, so I started flavoring it up with Asian flavorings, as well as adding curry powder. The Asian flavorings I used were: garlic, star anise, ginger root, sesame oil, green onion, and soy sauce. You can make a Thai version with fish sauce and lemon grass. That also really changed things up and helped the days go by until I reached the full liquids phase.

I hope this helps! Good luck!
