Oven Baked Fries---questions

I have been craving some french fries for quite some time (probably since day one of liquid diet) :-)
Do you think a few oven baked fries will be ok?
I have found some recipes for home made oven baked fries or I can buy some at the store and eat some. I am talking about no more than 5 fries (that is if I can eat that many---because I eat my protein first).

My reasoning is that we can have baked and mashed potatoes so an oven baked french fry should be okay too...right???

Any recipes ideas for some oven baked fries?

I couldn't do it because I am very sensitive to carbs and potatoes are carbs. The thing to watch is will it set you up for craving fries again? and will you be able to eat 6 the next time?  then more and more?  For me cravings aren't usually satisfied, eating the craved food makes me want to eat more of it.

You may be different.you may be able to eat 5 fries without a problem. I guess you will know if they become a problem. IMHO

Theres really no way to know until you try. I would have just a few. I don't do so good with stuff like that if I eat more than 2 or 3. I eat them reallly slow though so I can enjoy :)
I make home fries for my kids and hubby probably once or twice a month. I just slice a potato in thin strips, mix a little olive oil and salt and pepper in a bowl, then toss the taters in it. Bake at 400 for about 30 min or until crispy. I also will toss them around about half way thru the baking.
p.s. i also love the frozen sweet potato fries baked in the oven!

I'd wait and see what kind of reaction they had on my blood sugar. I quite often sub mashed cauliflower for potatoes or some rutabagas instead. They are awesome vegetable.
