3 weeks out... I need food ideas!
At this point... I am only able to tolerate egg whites, yogurt, pudding, and applesauce. I do occasionally eat tomato sauce with ricotta cheese (as a soup).
I ventured out and pureed soups...but even that is unsettling for my EXTREMELY picky grouchy pouch.
Any mushy food ideas for me? Slider foods?
I purchased refried beans... not sure how to incorporate that into a meal though?
I'm so lost. The chart the hospital gave me is SO GENERIC.
Put some refried beans in a bowl. Microwave until hot. Add some shredded lf cheddar. You can microwave a little longer to warm/melt the cheese. This was one of my favorites.
If you are allowed "soft foods" my other favorite at that time was frozen 5/8 oz to 1 oz meatballs with some marinara sauce microwaved.
These are both easy to take to work if you have a microwave.
Other ideas:
tuna or chicken salad made with hard boiled egg whites but no celery. I used celery and onion
powders instead to get the flavor.
lf cottage cheese with applesauce (cottage cheese is high in protein)
Buy a small Wendy's chili and put it in the blender if you still need pureed. Otherwise it it pretty
easy on the pouch.

oh bless you all! I am only 9 days out and still on liquids but never would have thought of a couple of these ideas! When I see my dr next week I am going to ask if I could have the Wendy's chili if I puree it because I would love the flavors! I have eaten so much yogurt in the last 4 weeks with pre op and post op diets and getting my protein shakes.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
