Anything with hummus, roasted vegetables, ricotta cheese, etc.

As far as sweet goes, I liked a mix of ricotta and greek yogurt with a spash of sugar free chocolate syrup and a tablespoon of pb2.

Try the recipe for Shelly's Baked Ricotta.  Some of my non WLS family members really loved and made this recipe also.  So good!  Her blog has some really good recipes.

good luck with your surgery, it is coming up.  Just be warned, what tastes good now, may not taste as good post op.  Your tastes will definately change.  I used to hate seafood and spinach and now I love them both.

Jim,
I loved that recipe.  I have been eating it everyday for a week now.  I made some homemade spaghetti sauce with lean hamburger to add on top.  I would highly recommend this recipe.  It makes you feel human again.  I'm 28 days post op RNY.

In the beginning it was refried beans mixed with some cheese and warmed up and topped with some greek yogurt.   Later on i liked things like my chix stroganoff which is slow cooked  so its super tender in cream of chix soup so i could take a bit of chix and soup and puree it easily.

In the beginning my favorite was Taziki Sauce made with greek yogurt. I could just eat it with a spoon I love it so much but gives me indigestion now. Osiokos plain greek yogurt (it is the one I find that has the most protein and least sugar), cucumber peeled, seeded and finely chopped (or grated), parsley and dill (fresh) can use both or just one of the two, one garlic clove grated, a little sea salt and pepper. You can put it all into a blender to get it to a more creamy consistency but I always just preferred the little bites of cucumber I would get. Later on you can try it with low-carb flat bread, tortilla's, or pita chips tosted in the oven. I probably lived off cream of wheat the first week. I got dixie cups to control my portion sizes in the beginning as well.

I love soup and pureed any soup I really loved. Here's a favorite soup I pureed. http://www.food.com/recipe/christines-stuffed-bell-pepper-so up-318557 . I wonder about making a pureed creamy soup. Like for example a sausage & potato soup. Lots of sausage and not alot of potato's. Or your favorite main dish pureed into a creamy soup. Something with alot of meat and little amounts of sides, like potato's , pasta, rice, etc. I would love a high protein soup that is creamy. Gives me ideas as to trying to make a recipe like that. Thanks christine (internetnut)

I used an old South Beach Diet recipe, slghtly updated - 1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese + 1 pkg DIET (25 Cal) Swiss Miss Cocoa. The original called for cocoa powder and sweetner.

 Ricotta with marinara
Refried beans with reduced fat cheese
I also liked taking a lil bit of ham, tad of low fat mayo and relish and mixing it in my magic bullet for ham salad....
