Got lots of pears... anyone have any suggestions?
Hi everyone,
We've got lots of home grown pears that need to be used up. I'd prefer something with no added sugars, and low carb, that could be frozen.
Anyone have any favorite recipes to share?

I have a Pear Butter that is super yummy in Greek yogurt, on low-carb pancakes, stirred into ricotta, or on an occasional piece of toast. It freezes great...wouldn't use a LOT of pears, but some!

It's reduced to about half...so about 1 1/2 cups.
A can of pears would be approx two large fresh pears, I'm guessing! And they aren't as "liquidy" as canned, so it might not take as long to get them reduced that far. Basically cook down until it's as thick as you'd like it!
With so many fresh you could experiment with different flavors...I'm so jealous! Plain vanilla bean, cinnamon, or add a sf Torani/Davinci syrup like caramel or butter rum...endless possibilitites!!
