 Hi all,
can anyone that is post op share what kinds of meal plans they use so that both they and their kids can eat the same stuff?  I'm still pre-op and this seems like such a daunting task.
Thanks,
Sandy

My three year old eats pretty much anything I eat...I make things that are fun and that he can sort of help with...I make tortilla pizzas and he helps with the toppings..I grill chicken and I shred mine but I cut his in chunks so he can still dip it in Ketchup!  He is a good veggie eater so I use that to my advantage also :)

Sandy, my advice....you stick with your protein first, veggies second and if you have room for salad or fruit...you can cook your potatoes, or rice or pasta for the family just as usual...you just don't partake...Following surgery, (even still) I always make sure I have frozen chilli in my freezer, or the lasagna cups frozen, for a quick grab for me...good luck on your journey..Patti K.

This is a hard one!
I ate modified things. When I was on softs: they had tacos, I had refried beans, cheese and sour cream. they had speghetti, i had the recotta bake. they had hamburgers on a bun, i left off the bun. we have salmon cakes and beans, fish (no rice for me), salisbury steak, greek meatballs, stuff like that. They eat those too.
