Wanna add to my quick protein list?
I have a 4 year old and an 8 year old. Not big cooked veggie fans, so I keep a tray of veggies in the fridge (they like anything dipped in ranch dressing!) and a fruit tray in there.
So almost every meal, I pull out one or both of these trays, add some quick protein, and for them, crackers, corn or rice or something, and we have a meal!
I'm looking for protein ideas (fresh or frozen), both for me and for them, that are very, very easy as cooking is not my favorite thing to do and not worth it anyway because they don't like complicated things. This is what I have so far - want to add to the list? I'm interested in brands you like also - like I know I'd like to find some mini-quiches.
Rotiserie Chicken chunks (dipped in canned alfredo sauce or catchup)
meatballs with spaghetti sauce dip
cheese sticks with spaghetti sauce dip
grilled cheese
boiled eggs or egg salad or deviled eggs or scrambled eggs with bacon
bananas dipped in peanut butter (lunch or breakfast)
the girls like yogurt (I have lost my taste for sweets - yay!)
hamburger patties
shrimp (ready to eat)
imitation crab meat salad (for me - they hate this)
deli meat wrapped around a cheese stick or made into sandwiches
