Pureed Recipes
I was sick of sweets too. My hubby made the best Chicken parmesean last night and it was awesome.
He baked boneless skinless chicken breasts in the oven then towards the end added red sauce (jar spaghetti sauce) and parmesean cheese (shook on). When the chicken was done he added 1/2 slice of lowfat mozarella cheese and melted. My son and hubby had that with pasta. For me he put a small piece of the chicken in the blender until it was pureed. The sauce was enough to moisten it in the blender. It looked gross, like all pureed, but it tasted wonderful.

Try some low fat cream soups. Just make sure you puree the chunks (if any) or chew the chunks extremely well. The cream soups are very tasty. If you get tired of them try adding a little Parmesan cheese or a little low fat cheddar to the top. Sometimes I like to pepper also but don't add too much (been there, done that). If you like broccoli try the new V8 soup they have out. It looks like it comes in a kids juicebox (but bigger). That has a lot of flavor and is very tasty. Also it's either green giant or birds eye has frozen cauliflower and broccoli with cheese sauce that is low cal and low fat. I've blended that up in my mini food processor and it's delicious. Mashed Potatoes with low fat butter and skim milk is also delicious. I also like Hanover Pork and Beans. I remove the fat chunks and puree the beans with a bit of bbq sauce. Hope this helps!
I recommend this cook book called Eating Well After Weightloss Surgery. There are some yummy things in there and she tells you how how to eat whatever during each phase.
I'm still pre-op but here is one I made and even my son LOVED it.
Ingredients:
1 pound chicken breast cutlets
1/2 pound fresh mushrooms (I used baby portabella)
1 large shallot finely chopped
1/4 cup white wine (cooking kind)
1/2 cup canned diced tomatoes drained ( I used fire roasted tomatoes with garlic)
1/2 cup evaporated fat free mill
salt & pepper to taste ( i thought the canned tomatoes had enough salt and added other spices like oregano, basil, & thyme)
Directions:
1) Spray a pan with cooking spray and saute chicken until golden. Set aside.
2) Re-spray pan and saute shrooms and shallots over medium heat, stirring for about 3 minutes.
3) Add wine to de-glaze the pan and reduce to 1/2.
4) Add tomatoes and cook stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes.
5) Reduce heat to low and add evaporated milk stirring constantly for 6-8 minutes (note the reduced temp and stirring thing are important after you add the milk because it will curdle & get lumpy if you don't)
6) Season to taste
Serving Guidelines For By-Pass Patients:
Weeks 1-4: Puree 2 ounces cooked chicken with 2 ounces sauce
Weeks 5-8: Chop 2 ounces chicken & top with 2 ounces sauce
Weeks 9+: Serve 2-4 ounces chicken topped with sauce

Im making a list to keep on the fridge (and to take shopping) I dont have recipes exactly, but maybe these ideas will help...
1. Beans (canned whatever kind you like, rinsed) mashed with avacado.
2. Beans (canned again/thinking the Northern beans, rinsed) Mash with a teaspoon of olive oil/basil pesto. Classico brand makes some and it comes in a small jar. A little goes a loong way. Add a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
3. Refried beans (I like to thin mine out with a little stock) top with a pinch of cheddar and dab of sour cream.
4. Our NUT is pushing us to have Activia Lite yogurt for the probiotics. I like the vanilla flavor. Ive tried the peach, that is good too. Im thinking of adding a little unfloavored protein and see how it tastes.
5. Scrambled egg (I was thinking of mashing the egg with a little laughing cow lite cheese)
6. mashed sweet potato with splenda and cinnamon.
7. Salmon salad. I like those single serve cups of salmon. I think Chicken of the Sea makes them. Maybe puree that a little and add olive oil mayo (to me, this tastes way better than lite mayo and has less calories than full fat)
8. When I got my band, I remember taking a little ricotta cheese and some creamy tomato soup, mixing them together add a little garlic powder, top with a little mozzarella cheese and baked until it turned brown. It was pretty good.
Hope this helps!
