I need some sweet/crunchy snacks to satisfy my brain.  The soft stuff does not work.  I had surgery 2008 and am at my goal but, having problems trying to find something to make me happy without messing myself up.  Please help!

Thanks,
JOY

One of my favs is a stick of celery, alittle almond butter, and a tiny drizzle of honey,  Yummm!

It seems to satisfy my sweet and choc cravings.

I'll be interested to see what other ideas people offer.

That does sound good.  Sometimes celery hurts my tummy.  I hope I do get a lot of responses.  Thanks,

You'll have to search around as I can't find my recipees.  You can use chick peas, roast them a bit to dry them out, and then coat with a simple syrup or something to sweeten them up.  Same for nuts.  You can find recipees for spiced/sweet nuts.  Just substitute splenda or something and they are very good.  I've made them with cayenne before and WOW.  You could also use soy nuts I guess...

Does obesity help have a recipe forum holding recipes?
Thanks,

I like the beef jerky single packs, I get them at Giant.  Also DietDirect.com has good snacks.  I also like the chocolate chip granola bar from atkins, I eat half of it and it stops my craving for chocolate and junk food.

What about SF Cookies? Apple Slices with Peanut Butter? SF Popsicles? Flavored Rice Cakes (they have sweet flavors)? Light Kettle Corm Microwave Popcorn (Sweet & Salty)? Try making your own protein bars? Grapes? Also, check out the eggface blog. She has tons of ideas!

My favorite snack is pickles wrapped in ham and  colby jack cheese!  Its not bad protein wise and the only carbs in the recipe come from the pickles .... and 1 carb for 3 pickles isn't a terrible thing.  I'm a DSer so I don't need to watch fat so I don't keep track of the stats there, however.

Its quick .. its yumm .. and its high protein for lower carb =3 whats not to love?
