lavash chips put potato chips to shame!

I'm home today with a sick kiddo that was running a 102 temp. I thank the wonderful loving Lord for fever reducer meds! His fever is gone and he's enjoying a day of Popsicles and juice! Gotta keep those fluids in him and his sugars high to help him get back what that high fever burned off.

So I went into the kitchen to get me my morning protein powder since Joshua wasn't eating much, I decided I'd not eat either. But, I saw the lavash bread (wraps) in the fridge when I opened the door and the hummus sitting innocently on the shelf and recalled how yummy those two were from yesterday!! Oh my! well I had them out and had the lavash bread cut into chips and popped in the oven before I knew it!! So, thought I'd pass it on to you! Along with the nutritional info on the wraps. They are amazing!

Lavash bread chips

Ingredients
1 lavash bread (wrap)
Pam extra virgin olive oil spray (or melted margarine)
seasonings (I used Mrs. Dash salt-free original)
cookie sheet

Directions:
~Preheat oven to 425 degree
~  cut lavash bread into chip size (either squares, or pie shape, your preference)
~ place lavash chips on ungreased cookie sheet
~ spray lavash chips with cooking oil (or melt margarine and brush on each chip)
~ sprinkle (VERY LIGHTLY) your seasoning over chips
~ bake for 3 to 6 minutes. Check at three minutes to see if crisp, if not then check again at five minutes to see if crisp.
~remove from oven, spread on counter for 5-10 minutes to cool and then place in medium sized storage bowl with sealing lid. There should be enough room for chips to rest lightly on top of each other. Ziploc bags are not recommended as they can crush and break chips.

Conclusion:
These are soo wonderfully great! If you are a chip craver, then these are just the thing for you! Light, crunchy and oh so dip-able! I LOVE hummus to use as a dip! You could even create your own ranch dip using hidden valley dry ranch mix, milk, and greek yogurt! Oh soo good!!

The photographic proof~~

Thanks, these look great. I'll try them. Sometimes you just need something crunchy.
