i am about 5 months out and still struggle with whole chicken... like others said you are still veryyy early out.. should probably still be sticking to some blended stuff... but scrambled eggs... ground meats with sauce so that they are reallllyyyy moist... the wetter the food the better for you it will go down without as much problems... its frustrating just take it easy and dont pu**** will all come in time... also if you like peanut butter that was a big thing for me to eat... lots of protein... skippy natural peanut butter...
good luck keep up the good work

you should realllly be staying away from carbs and bread.. if you haveeee to have bread a smalll slice or half  slice and toast it... so its not soft... but really shouldnt it gets gummy and heavy feeling... i just eat the peanut butter... or put it on a banana (usually can only eat half a banana), now that im farther out half an english mufffin but at your point i would just eat the peanut butter....

there was a recipe i posted back when that i mixed peanut butter, banana and my chocolate protein shake (carnation sugar free powder made with lactaid) in a blender and omg it was soooo yummmy

well yes it can be... i was thinking about this ice cream shake that i used to LOVE it was made with chocolate ice cream, peanut butter and banana.... so thought what the heck lets try something a lil different... i took my carnation sugar free powder (i did 2 packs so that it wasnt too frothy in the blender), ,added the 2 cups of lactiad, blended it... and then put in a glob of creamy peanut butter, and 1/2 banana and blended again... omg its heaven!!! and full of protein... i did have to add a couple ice cubes cuz it wasnt cold enough but mmmmmm

enjoy

also as for fish you should be able to do soft fishes like haddock cod etc... might not be able to do shrimp or scallops etc yet but haddock with some salt and pepper in the oven for a bit and its good..

I put peanut butter on bananas!  It is easy to chew and goes down great.  I eat 1 very small or 1/2 of a large and about 2 T of the peanut butter.

One of my biggest problems from the start was thinking I was biting off bits that were tiny enough, but they really weren't. I've had a lot more success when I cut whichever meat I wanted to try in to tiny tiny bits, about the size of a pencil eraser and then ate them.

I also had more success with ground beef or ground chicken or tiny pieces of fish with tartar sauce or tuna with mayo. If I want to eat chicken I still need to stick with dark meat, cut tiny, and for some reason pork and ham have gone down well since day one.

I'm now almost 6 mths out and can eat pretty much all meats and veggies now. I still stay away from breads, and fats. Unfortunately sugar hasn't really given me problems since the early days, so I do my absolute best to try to stick to tiny dark chocolate bars or cottage cheese with splenda to satisfy that sweet tooth that I've always had.
