Hummus doesn't have to be made with Chickpeas, any bean would work and change the flavor.  You also have Baba Ghanoush (eggplant) and I like this one with pita chips

I use Plain 0% fat free Oikos or Fage Greek yogurt
Lite/Fat free sour cream

Instead of the plain yogurt and regular sour cream. I add minced garlic  that is in the jar instead of using fresh garlic. I can't ever mince the garlic tiny enough for my liking in dips/sauces.

Obviously, the nutrition facts will change when you use Greek yogurt and fat free sour cream. But, even my picky 11 yr old and one his friends ate this and loved it.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 small cucumber - peeled, seeded, and finely chopped
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Stir together the yogurt, sour cream, vinegar, lemon juice, cucumber, green onion, garlic, feta cheese, oregano, lemon zest, salt, and pepper in a bowl; cover and chill 8 hours or overnight before serving.
