Is anyone else struggling this much?I had realize band last march and to date have only lost 20 lbs.-I have had 3 fills-but,I go to the doc again tomorrow and have not hit my sweet spot yet,I can eat anything I want and that is the problem.I have cravings now that I have never had even before surgery-I have kept a diary and go up 1-3 lbs and down 1-3 lbs ever few days.I want this to work,I am trying so hard if you have any suggestions send them this way thanks i love this site!!I have gotten several recipes off here and all have been great!c
I am surprised your surgeon hasn't looked into this more if you have lost just 20 lbs. in 9/10 months. Does he/she have any suggestions? Is there a follow up support group for you to go to? My program also includes some behavior counseling pre and post surgery and that is helpful.
Is your diary a weight diary or a food diary? "They" say a food diary is a major tool is weight lose. And even taking a picture of everything you eat using your cell phone has been used. Any evidence is good to help your doctor figure out what is going on.
I didn't have the band but went with the RNY. I'm four years out and for the most part can eat almost anything. But I don't--usually. What we can eat and what we should eat are very different, unfortunately.

I'm not sure I can help other tell you what I experienced with the band. I had it in July of 2007. I lost 30lbs total. Going up and down a few times. My surgeon treated me badly and I ultimately chose to do a revision from lapband to RNY. This will happen on March 3rd. Perhaps you might look into a different tool. Talk with your surgeon and try some problem solving. Good luck
