I make this because I need the protein and calcium. It is very easy to make.
1 13 ounce can skim evaporated milk
1/3 - 1/2 cup Spelda or 12 yellow packets
1 1/4 cup water
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Put a pot of water on stove and bring to a boil, let sit there while you make the custard.
Heat oven to 350*
In a large bowl beat eggs, splenda, vanilla, flavoring, and spices until smooth and eggs are well mixed.
Add evaporated milk and water and mix together
To Bake:
Pour custard into individual custard cups or pyrex glass bowl.
Place a metal pan on oven rack and fill half way with boiling water
Place the custard into the ho****er and close the oven.
Bake 45-60 minutes. Insert a knife into center of custard will come out clean, custard will have some browing on top.
Add protein powder if you want even more protein, but it will change the texture some.
