Protein Shakes

Does anyone else mix 1% milk with their protein powder for shakes like I do?  All my protein powder's instructions say to mix with water, but it ends up too lumpy, so I have always used 1% milk.  I was just wondering if anyone else does this?

I use skim milk, but I don't see anything wrong with 1%.

I refuse to use water in my protein shakes.  That is just gross.   I think you'll be fine using milk.  Plus, it wouldn't hurt to have a little extra calcium in your body :)

Great!  Thanks for your replies!  I had used 1% milk when losing the first 80 lbs and didn't see anything wrong with it, but then kind of worried about it.
I appreciate your e-mails!

I use vanilla protein powder and mix it with either water, OR instead of water I sometimes use cold coffee, with an added scoop of skim milk powder, and a package of sweetener. The skim milk powder makes it thicker. I got a "Magic Bullet" for Christmas and with a few ice cubes it is delicious and smooth.

I got a bullet for Christmas too!   I have used plain yogurt, 1/2 cup frozen berries, water and ice.  Super yummy!  I just got my protein sample pack from bariatric eating and I am thinking of mixing two kinds of powders in my next experiment.

I"ve used both water & milk.   I prefer skim milk - but lately -  TOO SWEET......so I'm trying the 1% or 2% milk..........less sugar - but a little more fat...........

The protein and water - just kinda  yucky !!
