I have been creating recipes for WLS post ops for years...all stages, too.  Most of my soups can be pureed for the first stages...I have lots of soft egg dishes or edamame hummus, or other things for the soft stage.  Search through them and find things that appeal.

I do a lot of sugar free baking because that is one place post ops fall off the wagon - DESSERT.  Feeling they will never be able to eat goodies again.

But I do a ton of soups, chilis and things that are very high protein, low carb or full of complex carbs that are so good for us.  I also have quite a few protein shake recipes to add variety to your day!

The first page is mostly Holiday baking things...keep looking - it's not all sweets!!  I promise!

I hope you find something you love!

Linda,

I love your blog - read it everyday at work - but i have a question - are these recipes just as good for a DS patient vs. the RNY patient? is there something to do different?

Thanks for looking!!  I wish I had the time to post a new recipe every day for you!!!

These are great for DS or anyone needing a high protein, low(er) carb way of eating.  I try to be fairly low-fat, but don't go crazy with it.  I believe in using real butter and lots of olive oil!

Mostly I work at creating dishes that not only the post op, but everyone they cook for or feed will want to eat.  Nothing worse than having to make two different meals!

I hope you find some favorites for you and your family!
