"crab" sticks query?
In what sense are we judging "OK"
Nutritionally? Yes, it's ground up fish and fish is healthy.
Processed Food? Well, it is highly processed. If you want to move more toward Clean Eating, the processing might be an issue
Digestive? Remains to be seen and post surgery how a person handles food is an individual issue. As a dense protein you COULD run into problems, especially if any protein is cooked into rubber.

IMHO it is a poor choice> high in sodium and terrible for the sugar meaning empty carbs! You are soooooo better off to switch over to real crab or at least low sodium canned crab over imitation!

Hungry girl has a great crab cake recipe and it's only 117 calories a cake and about 16 grams of pro. Look at the website click on chew this and then search for crab cakes. I make them and they come out delious! I laughed at first and was like these are going to suck but they were very good you do have to bake them longer then she says and they don't get cripy like when they deep fry them but still taste great. He books are very helpful gives you alot of ideas and recipes.
