Has anyone tried a recipe with Molasses or Honey?  Do they react the same way as sugar does?  Thank you for your input.

They can cause dumping if eaten to excess.  Now and then I will have a recipe that calls for molasses or honey, and depending on how much it needs it can be fine.

A couple tablespoons or even up to 1/4 cup in a WHOLE recipe hasn't been a problem.

It really takes very little molasses to flavor a recipe...it's harder with honey.  There is a sugar free version available that's pretty good.  I've seen it in bigger supermarkets or you can order online.

Sometimes I will use Agave nectar for honey and that works well, too.

Thank you for the information.  I will check into those other two suggestions.

I use agave nectar that is sold in the grocery next to the honey. It doesn't cause the blood sugar to spike like honey does according to the DLife show. I like it. Maybe it will be good for you?
