Just got the work out of my life! Spaghetti Squash
WOW!
I wanted a LOT of Spaghetti Squash (I freeze it) so I bought a mega squash.
Holy crap.. trying to cut that thing in half was a better work out than any hard cardio I have ever done! No kidding... I was standing at my front door debating. My neighbor has a table saw. I was going to ask him to cut that sucker in half with the saw.
I finally put it in the oven whole for about 30 minutes. I kept cringing waiting for it to explode or something. Took it out and it was 90% easier to cut in half.
It is baking as I type.
Little Spaghetti Squash, that is what I will buy from now on. But I have to say, I was not happy with the price. $8.00 USD for one squash? It's getting more expensive but the work out didn't hurt me any. ;o)
Reminded me of the time I tried to cook a turkey and had to hang it in the shower to force it to thaw the day before Thanksgiving. The older gentleman that lives behind me had no T-Day plans, no family came to see him so it was a last minute thought. I found a recipe for a turkey in a bag and you cook it breast down. I will tell you, it is NO easy task to thaw a 21# turkey at the last minute and it is even harder to turn that puppy right side up the last hour of cooking in a cooking bag but I will have you know, I did it damnit!
Have I mentioned that I am not a very good cook?
Cooking... it is verrrry hard work! No wonder we all got fat! It's easier to let Mickey D's do the cooking!
