I want to share one I just invented this morning.  This is what I had for breakfast and it was SOOOOO GOOD!  Try it:

  • 1/2 cup Fiber One Complete Pancake Mix (mix with water as directed)
  • sprinkle some pumpkin pie spice in the batter
  • slice 1/2 a small banana into the batter
  • cook as directed (you can make one big pancake or 2 small ones)
  • Top with sugar free syrup
  • the rest of the banana sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of Lite Whipped Topping (only 20 calories)
  • some sliced almonds

OMG!  It was sooo good!  Hope you try it and enjoy.  This will def. keep me full until lunch.  I may not even need a snack today.  Lol.

Sounds yummy! Add a scoop of protein powder and we are cooking. What would you call this so I can put it in my cookbook for a easy find? Thanks for sharing christine (internetnut)

Good idea.  I didn't even think about adding protein powder to it!  I'll try that next time.  I'm not sure what to call it.  I guess call it Flab 2 Fab Diva Pancakes.  Lol.

I like it "Diva Pancakes" sounds good! I try to always add a scoop of vanilla protein powder to all my baked goods to (sometimes I forget though). I plan to get Unjury for my lunch/dinners. Christine (internetnut)

What is "UNJURY"?  I've seen it in a few posts and it's driving me crazy.

The recipe sounds great...I might have to have the banana separate, never been one to add it to the batter of pancakes.

I'm 4 days pre-op so I am scouring all the posts for great menu ideas that I'll be able to use later on (once I'm able to eat again!).

Unjury is a flavorless protein powder. It's suppost to be good put in like soups or casseroles. I just bought some flavorless protein powder from Vitamin World I'm gonna try. I warn you don't try flavorless protein powder mixed w/water it's nasty to me, but I don't like any protein powder except GNC chocolate unless it's used in baked goods. So I hope this is good. Hope that answered your question. Congrats on your new life! Christine (internetnut)

I'll keep that in mind.  I just bought a thing of protein powder today at the grocery...it's an unflavored.  I just am freaked out about all of these new FOODS that I'm going to be eating.  I'm so afraid I'm going to live on cottage cheese, yogurt and water the rest of my life!

I'll give this unflavored can a try (it's probably one of the smallest cans I've seen) and see how it works for me and then I can branch out to some of the other stuff.  I'm afraid to buy a huge can and then hate it.  I know I've read GNC and couple of other places will return unused cans (with receipt of course) but I live out in the country about 30 minutes from a larger city where there are any kind of speciality nutrition stores so it's not real convenient for me.

Thanks for the advice!!!

I've tried Unjury and it's not bad if you add it to your cooking or baking but my absolute favorite is Any Whey flavorless.  There is 99% no flavor to me.  I like to mix it with some sugar-free torani syrup (peach is my favorite) for a protein drink.  It's not all thick like the protein shakes.  Sometimes you just want something that has a juice consistency and this is it!  I guy it at www.cheapvitamins.com and it is about $44 for a 1 pound jug.  Not the cheapest, but the best tasting I've found and I put it in everything!!!!  I've even put it in spaghetti sauce and it's great.

Just thought I'd throw that in there for you.  Good luck it will get easier it just takes a while to learn all of the things that are out there for you because there is a lot!!

Try mixing a pack of sugar free jello ( your choice of flavor) , one small container of sugar free cool whip along with your container of cottage cheese...very yummy
