OMG - WW recipe cards from 1974 - Bread Pudding w/Hard Sauce

Here is another fabulous recipe from the past.....what an entertainment factor these are!

Bread Pudding With Hard Sauce

1 slice enriched white bread, cut in 1/2 inch cubes
1 medium egg, slightly beaten
Artificial sweetener to equal 8 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon brandy extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup skim milk, scalded
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Cinnamon Hard Sauce*

Place bread cubes in a 10-ounce custard cup.  Combine egg, sweetener, extracts, and salt; mix well.  Gradually add milk.  Pour over bread cubes.  Sprinkle with cinnamon.  Let stand 10 mins, then place custard cup in pan of ho****er.  Bake at 325. for 1 hour, or until pudding is set and a knife inserted in center comes out clean.  Serve pudding in the baking cup or unmold.  Top with Cinnamon Hard Sauce.  Good warm or chilled.  Makes 1 serving.

I was cleaning out my office and found these cards from 1974.  I don't have the sauce card.  You may want to check with meltingmama, she said her Mom made it all the time....
