Gyros???
I can't handle the pita bread, so I just eat the meat and lots of homemade Tzaztiki sauce. The receipe I use is slightly modified from Eggface:
1 container of Fage greek yogurt
1 hothouse cucumber, unpeeled and seeded diced into small pieces
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon Champagne vinegar or white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice (1 lemon)
1 tablespoon good olive oil
1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh dill
Pinch freshly ground black pepper
Mix all ingredients. You can serve it immediately, but I prefer to allow the tzatziki to sit in the refrigerator for a few hours for the flavors to blend. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels! Rhonda

i tried mediterrranean food just 3 months out afer surgery....the meat (lamb) set perfectly with my pouch, was nice and moist....and the tzatzki went down well too. Went lightly on the flatbread, but i did take a few bites, it was too heavy for the prissy pouch.
I adore tzatziki.....i'll have to try this recipie.. i've made several attempts before but it didnt turn out so great....this one looks good though
i've never cooked the meat myself though....might try it if someone has some tips/recipies
