I was wondering are you allowed to eat snow crab legs after surgery and if so does anyone has recipes that call for snow crab leg meat?

Not allowed right away, I cant remember when my wife & I started eating crab, but it settles well for us.  We like it cold with ****tail sauce or steamed.  Have not had snow crab but have had king crab and lobster.  We also enjoy the fake crab / surmi.

Of course we can eat it...if you tolerate it is the question. Shrimp, crab, lobster, and scallops were on my list of first proteins to try on my regular diet...right up there with chicken and fish. I was even told I could have lump crab meat and make it into a crab salad when I was on pureed.

I eat snow crab legs a lot (when they are on sale). I get the frozen kind in the bag. Boil it in a lil water and put lemon juice over it, I can usually eat it just like this...needs nothing. If I want something I boil it in old bay seasonings or dip it in a lil butter or ****tail sauce. The frozen ones in the bag you can even microwave and they taste no different. Put on plate, cover with damp towel and heat for about 5 minutes or until cooked through...yummo. Mind you also, they have awesome protein stats.
