SHEARCHING FOR QUINOA
It cooks like rice, but as for the flavor it's actually flavorless. It's really good at picking up any seasoning you are adding to it. Look at my blog for some recipes.
it's normally sold in organic food markets like whole foods. Sometimes it can be bought at regular supermarkets and would be found around the grains. gl

I purchased mine just 2 days ago at Bob's Redmill website(bobsredmill.com). It was $11.43 for 26oz. They have lots of whole grains and dried beans etc. I also purchased steel cut oats and couscous.
I've never tried it(quinoa) before either, but I've heard about the high protein content. Go to Foodnetwork.com and put quinoa in the search engine there. Lots of recipes, some healthy some not so healthy, but take a glance at how it is basically prepared. I like some of the salad ideas I've seen there.

I love quinoa - I get mine at Wal-mart superstores. Here in Arizona they carry the Bob's Redmill variety, it is in the "health food" section.
I find that instead of using jus****er if you use vegetable stock, chicken stock or beef stock it really kicks up the flavor of the quinoa. If you are looking to have a cold side dish try cooking your quinoa and letting it cool, then dice up some of your favorite veggies and mix them in. I use pico de gallo (chopped tomatoes, onions and parsley). Any way you make it YUMMMMMMMM!
