Flour question

I was just wondering which flour is the best to use.  Before surgery I LOVED to flour and fry meat.  Well I havent done that in I dont know how long now.  lol lol  But was thinking about flouring meat then baking on a Butter pam sprayed sheet in the oven.  Might give me the sense of fried meat.  Was just wondering which flour is the best.  I have only bought white in my cooking lifetime.  But have seen the whole wheat flour and have seen many post about almond flour.  But was wondering along with taste which one was a better calorie choice.  I have tried the bread cumbs in baking and i like that but wanted other choices.
Thanks!

Hi Denise, I like to mix equal parts flax meal, almond meal and parm cheese. Then add some garlic powder and some Italian seasoning. I keep this in the fridge and use it to bread chicken cutlets, veal or eggplant. I then saute in olive oil.  I dip the food I am breading into beaten eggs first..   Terry

Thanks Terry.  I am gonna try this! What kind of olive oil do you use for this?  Does it change the taste?  My eggplant are almost ready to pick in my garden.  Can not wait now!

I buy the light tasting olive oil. It seems to not be too heavy that way. No change in taste either. My husband is really into chicken parm and is very happy with this version of cutlets. He has had to adjust to a new way of eating, since I am  the cook!! I thnk we eat better than ever now!

You can buy carbalose at netrition - tastes just like regular flour.  Mostly made of fiber.

Johanna - like Joe-on-uh, or that movie, Juwanna Man!
