Remembering back in the day
I was born @ Memorial Hospital in Lake Charles, raised in and around East Texas and SW Louisiana. I went to Westlake High for a year 1982. Both my folks graduated from Westlake High 64 (Daddy was the star athlete there) My Grandmother owned Calcaciue Trophies till about 84 and my other Grandmother was the buyer at Gibsons from the 50 till she died in 88(now it is called something else) I have many aunts, uncles and cousins still in the area. Half of my peoples are buried in Lake Charles and Westalke. SO I will always call SW La home.

Love salt an melon-grew up on it and spitting the seeds. I still like to spit a seed.
Confession: I bought a stick of rhubarb and couldn't figure out what to do with it. Guess I'll try again.
I'm thinking of rolling some apricots in some chili lime-that's got to taste good.
Rhubarb .....I remember sitting in the rhubarb patch with a salt shaker eating the rhubarb I was suppose to be picking for rhubarb pie.........watermelon, my brother use to eat salt and pepper on it..never did understand that.......I still love rhubarb but every time I try to grow it in Texas, it just dries up and whithers away...........
