Any suggestions for a wls friendly dessert to take to a party?  I know I can take fruit, but would love to take something homemade.

Thanks!

I just posted this somewhere else.  My fav.  Low cal, low fat, low cholesterol and super easy.

        Imitation English Trifle

1 angel food cake torn into pieces
1 pkg sugar free vanilla pudding
1 pkg cool whip
1 pkg frozen berries of choice (or fresh if in season)

Make pudding with skim milk.  Chill.  Then alternate all ingredients in a very pretty see thru bowl if you have one.

Every time I take this anywhere, i get loads of compliments and no one can believe it is so low in cals, choles  and fat.

Enjoy

I take any type of recipe and just substitute Splenda for  sugar and applesauce for oil/butter.  I also try to add protein powder to any part not being cooked. Cooking the powder causes something funky to happen.   I recently made the strawberry pretzal dessert and used ff cream cheese, no sugar whip cream, sf jello, etc...

One of my VERY FAVORITE summer dessert recipes...

You can make this small or large for a crowd...I'll give the larger recipe:

2 box made chocolate cakes 9x11 size...prepared following directions on the box
2 boxes prepared Chocolate pudding (use the sugar free to lighten up)
2 small or 1 large container cool whip(again use the free kind if you prefer)
Chocolate sprinkles

In a large / deep clear rubber container, lay the first cake on the bottom...layer the chocolate pudding then the cool whip. Add the second cake, then pudding then cool whip. Refrigerate for at least an hour. Add the sprinkles before serving (the chocolate will run off the sprinkles and leave spots if they sit on the whipped cream too long). This is so cool and refreshing on a hot day! Serve with a big serving spoon.

I make a smaller version on those tin pans...just one of everything. I figure if you are watching calories...just spoon out more pudding and whipped cream than cake!

An EASY, portable dessert I like is:

1 Angel Food cake mix
1 (15oz) can crushed pineapple in it's own juice

Mix these 2 ingredients together, pour into 9x13 pan and bake according to the cake package directions.

I serve it with a dollop of SF FF cool whip and sliced or whole strawberries   Yummo!!!

note...when you're mixing the cake mix and the pineapple together it will "foam" and increase in volume....it's supposed to, so don't worry  teeheehee
