what can I use in place of egg?

my egg substitute is out of date I think and I have no eggs. I don't want to go for one egg.

did you end up experimenting with this? i'm curious myself what could be used as a binder. i always use eggs!

My child has an egg allergy, so what i use in cakes and etc is knox gelatin. It works. I would think it would work in the meatloaf too, of course use unfalvored. Just experiment w/ the amount.

I know I am way late but for the future, Flax meal is an excellent egg replacement.

For each egg to be replaced, blend in a blender/food processor 1 tablespoon flax seed with 3 tablespoons water until the mixture is thick and creamy.

Hmmmm great ideas - thanks! I will have to keep it in mind for when I run out of eggs - which happens all the time since I'm an egg hound!
