Hey everyone,

I am 2 weeks and one day post op.  I am still on the full liquids and will move to the puree phase soon.  I'm so sick of eating beans, cheese, cottage cheese, etc that I just dont even want to eat anymore.  Please share some suggestions with me on things I can eat during this first phase, PLEASE!!  Also, what suggestions do you have for the puree phase?

Thanks,
Autumn

I love scrambled eggbeaters with a bunch of melted cheddar cheese on top, with salt and pepper. If you wanna get creative with that... I sometimes add in some pesto sauce into the eggs for a little extra flavor.  Its one of my favorites. I'm three months out and still eat it. For me the liquid phase was strictly broth and SF jello (only for a week) and puree phase was the beans, cheese, yogurt, etc...  So I'm not sure what your puree phase will allow? Also, another thing I couldnt go wrong with is Wendy's chilli. I still eat that now as well. Chewed up well of course. I add melted cheddar cheese and nonfat sour cream to that. Its one of the ones, for me, that always sits well when all else fails.

Thank you!  I'm definately gonna try the eggs..  My first phase is four weeks long and I can eat "full liquids"--things with a pudding like consistency.  Beans, cheeses, yogurt, jello, etc.  I'm so sick of that food that I havent eaten in 2 days.  Just the thought of it makes me sick. UGH!! I have to wait a few more weeks before I eat the Wendy's chili, but I can hardly wait!  Thanks!!!

I've been there... so sick of the food your allowed that youd rather not eat. Just be careful... cause then I forgot to drink my liquids and just got dehydrated.. then any food or drink would make you sick. And off to the ER you go..  So get in what you can!!

One of the first things I tried was baby food--chicken or turkey with a pinch of Lawry's Season Salt in it for flavor.  Once I tolerated that I went on to egg salad made with fat free sour cream and a dab of mayonnaise, scrambled eggs, sugar free jello pudding with a scoup or two of Unjury protein powder in it.  I also tried and still like the small can of Deviled Chicken.  After a few weeks I added chopped salad pickles and a little mayo and made a very smooth chicken salad.  Check out  [email protected]  for other ideas.

This is one thing I did in the beginning that made my tummy happy. My dear friend Renea told me to try it. Just boil broccoli til tender and puree with small amount of milk to make it soupy. Put it back in the pot and add a block of velveeta cut small and warm on low til the cheese is melted. You may need to add more milk til desired consistency. Add a little salt and pepper or other seasonings and wah lah! Delicious broccoli cheese soup. I still eat this after a fill.

I am 11 days out from lap. rny. I am movinging into the soft phase of the diet but afraid to eat any meat, chicken etc. I have lived off of pudding, cottage cheese pudding and all kinds of different soups. Any ides on what I can try that will be soft enough. I can not do baby food the smell makes me vomit.
Thanks
