does anyone have a good lasagna recipe they wouldn't mind sharing?  I am having company for dinner tomorrow night- and i wanted to make a nice salad, lasagna, and have some garlic bread (i wouldn't eat the bread, just for others).  I have an excellent recipe for lasagna, but i was wondering if there was a higher protein version anyone had tried, or one that is more tolerant to my little tummy?  Just a thought- if not i'll stick with my classic- i just thought i'd ask!

Thanks take care!  And have a wonderful weekend everyone!

I don't persay have a recipe for lasagna for you but I can give you a tip that I use. I make lasagna normally but since there isn't much protein in it, I mix protein powder into the ricotta cheese. I put it in the food processor and blend it until it's creamy. I usually add a little bit of sauce to the cheese/powder mixture to disguise any flavors that the protein might give off. I've never had it without using the sauce in the mixture, so I'm not sure if there is a strong flavor or not. But the powder usually gives the whole pan an extra 20-30g of protein. Granted, I don't eat lasagna the way I used to. And most of the time I make myself a veggie lasagna (grilled veggies instead of noodles) seperately, but I do the same thing by mixing the protein in with the cheese.

I still do not tolerate noodles so I use ribbons of zucchini instead of noodles.  Just use your veggie peeler to make long thin ribbons--use them raw in the lasagna and cook (steam or pan fry with a little butter) them when you just serve them like regular noodles.  I tell everyone it is a healthy version and since I use the same fillings it is tasty and I have gotten lots of good feedback from my family and even when I took it to a pot luck.  Good luck.
