Hi everyone,
After reading all your lovely posts and drooling over the recipes, I decided to take some of your suggestions and make that all important protein shake palatable.  I can't stand that metallic after taste, and it was keeping me from drinking my shakes.  So, here is what I did, it really tastes great!

In a blender:

1/2 package of almond flavored silken Tofu (low fat)
2 scoops of your protein powder
2 tablesppons of fat free (40 calorie Silhouttte is what I used) yogurt, vanilla flavour
1 cup of fat free milk
puree all of this and trust me, it will taste like an almond milk shake, and you are getting your protein shake in and making your new tummy so happy.

Where can you get the almond flavored tofu?  And do you have a reccomendation for protein powder- I have vanilla, would that be OK?

You can get the almond tofu in the health food or tofu section of your grocery store.  It would go with any flavour of protein shake you are trying to get down.  It is a desert tofu, silken if that helps in your quest.
You may want to try adding just a couple of tablespoonfuls of the tofu as the almond flavour is quite strong.

Hi Cat,
When you make this for yourself what is the nutritional info you get for your shake...oh and how many oz would you say the drink ends up being once everything is blended together?
TIA!
