You probably shouldn't go for the shell or tortilla since you are so early out. If you've tried chips already and were able to tolerate them, maybe crush some up and make a taco salad of sorts. If no chips, then maybe just make a taco salad, sans the taco/chips/tortilla. The Tostitos Baked chips that are shaped like a scoop are pretty good and you could make 2 or three mini taco salads in there. Avacados are delicious, so maybe some guacamole, use plain yogurt instead of sour cream and any toppings that normally go on a taco salad that you can tolerate.
If you do decide to go with the chips, make sure you take very small bites and chew good, I remember in my early times chips seemed to turn into a paste and plug me up causing a painful puke fest. :( No fears though, just be careful.
