BLT Wrap

Ingredients:

Mixed baby greens (the kind with all shapes of lettuce and colors!)

Bacon (cooked crisp)

Hidden Valley ranch (out of the bottle only 2 carbs per 2 tablespoons!)

Tomato (diced fine)

Sharp Colby or Cheddar cheese (shredded)

Dash of oregano

Salt and Pepper to taste

Mama Lupe’s Low carb tortillas- Only 3 net carbs (I buy mine at netrition.com)

Preparation:

Fry bacon till it’s crispy

Spread small amount of ranch dressing on the tortilla, evenly

Add a bit of greens and tomatoes

Pile high with cheese and bacon

Add dash of oregano or whatever spice you love

Eat.

I didn’t give a suggested amount of ingredients since you can use all of this stuff in other dishes in case you make too much.

Most of the time, everything you can fit on one tortilla will run you about 6 net carbs per wrap, so that still very low in carbs and very satisfying when you miss the taste of your old sandwiches.   Those wraps are lifesavers for us low carb WLS patients!  If you want to make this even healthier, you can make it with turkey bacon….but I give up enough on taste, so bring on the pork!

I love BLT's and this will be a definite "recipe" for them once my tomatoes start to ripen this summer. I don't know about you but store bought tomatoes just don't equal up to the real vine ripened in the garden ones that you grow and pick yourself.

Thanks for the reminder that summer will be here before we know it.

Have a great Day!!!!!!
