Girl, do I feel your pain!

I had my surgery the same day.

I'm hungry :)  I've been eating some SF pudding (banana)

and Light low sugar fat free vanilla yogurt (which has been a god sent).

chicken or beef broth?

Good luck to you!!

Here are a few things I tried at that stage.I don't know if your doctor o.k's these, but try them if you can.

Crystal light
creamed soups-best eaten with no pieces to get stuck, puree in blender
Double strength milk-1 cup skim milk blended with 1/3 cup powdered milk
sugar-free jello,pudding
sugar-free popsicles
Clear broth
propel
Fruit 2o
Carnation Instant Breakfast-sugar-free kind
Thinned cream of wheat-use skim milk to add protein
unsweetened fruits-blenderize
mashed potatoes
soft scrambled eggs

hopefully this will help. Don't forget the most important thing, drink lots of water! Don't worry,I don't always get all of my water in either and i'm almost 6 months out.

Have u guys felt actual hunger pains?  I'm frustrated because I feel full all the time so my stomach can hardly get anything in!

I actually didn't expierence true hunger pains until the 4th month. It took me a while to understand the difference between real hunger in my stomach and what they call "head" hunger.Head hunger is the amount {or what}we think we need to eat instead of what we really need.We are so used to eating a large amount of food that we think that we are still hungary even though we actually aren't.It may take you longer to figure the difference or a shorter time. Please just continue with your doctor's orders and everything else will fall into place.

Maybe freeze yoru protein shakes or smothies for a couple of hours.  Then eat them with a spoon.  That way you will think you are getting a treat.  You could freeze almost anything.  I like to mix my protein in with SF pudding and freeze it for 2-3 hours and I think I am getting a slushy ice cream.

I was told to eat Stage 1 baby food.  I would get sweet potato and add some splenda or equal and cinnamon to make it taste better then microwave it.  I would also do that with squash.  Something I tried when I was in the second phase was I would get the real soft puffy fake popcorn and let it dissolve in my mouth.  Also they make those little puff  snack things for babies  I would do the same with those.  That seemed to help.  My mom would fix beans and I would do the broth off of those.  She fixed beef stew and I would do the broth off of that as well.
