LOW Carb: Chipotle Sweet Wings
Chipotle sweet wings
Ingredients:
2 lbs chicken wings
1/2 cup butter
1/8 cup Louisiana hot sauce
2 tablespoons Tabasco chipotle pepper sauce
1.5 tablespoons brown sugar (splenda cooking version made just for recipes)
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
The juice of one fresh lime
cooking oil (for frying)
Preparation:
Wash and pat dry with paper towels.
Pre-heat cooking oil to 350 degrees.
Slowly add 1/2 of the wing pieces to hot oil; fry until golden brown.
In the meantime, in a large pan, melt the butter on a very low heat.
Add bottled hot sauce, brown sugar (Splenda cooking version), paprika, salt, vinegar, cayenne and lime juice; stir well;
Keep the sauce warm.
Add the cooked wings to the sauce. Just coat them right before serving, do not let them sit in the sauce since the sauce will make them not so crispy....toss and serve asap!
Keep a bit of sauce on the side for those who wish for more...

Carb counts are about 3 net carbs per serving and a serving is about 5-6 wings. Pretty awesome I think for such a quick easy meal…
