LOW Carb: Amazing bacon explosion

Of course this is low carb roar!

I have a similar Low Carb recipe that is much easier and will accomplish the same thing.  Here it is:

1)  Purchase one 5 pound of Crisco Lard.

2)  Carefully surgically remove the container from the lard roll.

3)  Sprinkle generously with bacon bits and enjoy and brush liberally with butter!!

See..not a spec of Carbs!!

Sorry Mr. Roar but you are dangerous and destined to gain all your weight back once reality hits.

I know how to get and stay fat.  So thanks but no thanks to your low carb self proclaimed healthy recipes.

Yes,  I read your thread where someone questioned the nutritional values and your response was you didn't have time to post them!!  But you seem to have plenty of time to post plenty of HIGH fat, untested, non profesional recipes.

You do understand that you are in a temporary state of losing weight right?  You do understand that surgery is only a tool...one that will last Maybe 18 to 24 months at best right?

It is during this period that we should be learning how to eat correctly, Excercise correctly and change our abnormal screwed up head sets.  ie: therapy.

I too have a love affair with food..however, I am interested in working my way out of emotional eating ...not in joining your soon to be failure and subsequesnt blame of how surguery didn't work for you.

To you followers;  You may want to revisit your own data..like the woman who was sexually drooliing over one of your recipes yet had only lost 25% of her goal weight since her surgery back in 2004 was it?  See the pattern?

So my question to those who are serious and not hiding from their own brain tricks:

Is there a Recipe or other  thread on this web site where only serious and successful long term weight losers and professionals post their recipes and habits?  Where recommendations are only encouraged by those who have lost and maintained weight loss fo at least 5 years?  And where the rest of us just ask questions and post comments about posts from the successful folks and professionals?

To those of us who seriously want to lose weight and keep it off..this is what will help us and this what I want to read.   I already know how to do it wrong.

If no such thread exists, Can the webmaster create one with rules?

My apologies for being harsh on the Roar dude and his delusional followers but guy,  this is a matter of life and death at worst for most and quality of the rest of life at best  for the rest of us.

Get a clue.

<=== This is a hungry child.    I once thought I was too but it turned out that I was never hungry ...   but boy, ...  was I  a child!

Hmmm, while I wouldn't even try this recipe, I have tried several of T's recipes and loved them and gee I was able to figure out the fat and carb content myself....  No need to attack.  Just don't eat it.

Afterthought......gee, now I know why Cowboyonfire left but I for one am glad he's back.

There is no way in hell I would ever eat this thing, but I got a good chuckle out of it because it is something I definitely would have tried preop. I'm a bacon lover, but now. I'm following my surgeon's plan and bacon is a no no and so is sausage. Forever. I am allowed to have turkey sausage and bacon so that will have to do me in the future.

To The Roar Dude: I'm really sorry someone felt the need to trash you over this, not just here but over on the main board. Some people have absolutely no sense of humor.

Blessings,
Karen

RNY on 02/12/09 with
First i have to say that this is my first venture over to the recipes forum, mostly because i am only 4 weeks out and know i couldn't tolerate much more than the mushies. BUT curiosity got the best of me and I happened to stumble across this little feud about this recipe.
I have to say first, that i did see a few posts that T put up that i may consider maybe a YEAR out of surgery, but this ONE in particular really does NOT need to be on this forum.
We can all appreciate that you (T) and many others have the ability to look at something like this and say "OH, not for me" and move on...but we do have to remember where we are people!
This is Obesityhelp.com and although some of you may NOT be affected terribly by this recipe, lets not forget that many people DO have a MENTAL issue with food and although we have had surgery, something as simple as this thread could trigger something very bad in that fragile head of theirs.
I'm sure there are people out there that would take this recipe and RUN with it, lets remember that we at some point or time looked at food and would find ANY reason to justify eating the most horrible things, and what is better justification than "HEY, I found it on Obesityhelp.com"
although, i do not completely agree with the way alleygnat went about things in his/her post, I do have to agree....this recipe does not belong here.

p.s. if you have to put a warning (for fat) on a recipe you are about to put on OH, maybe you just shouldn't. just my humble opinion.
I'm sure most of you will agree...probably wont say it, but I'm sure you agree to some degree.

Personally I think if you can't handle reading ALL recipes on a recipe forum stay out.
Frankly there are many different WLS types on OH and not all of us are afraid of FAT!  I would FREAK OUT if OH started to censor posted recipes based on what they (and who exactly would "they" be) feel is an acceptable calorie, carb and fat count in a recipe.  Really it's not hard to look at a recipe and convert it to be more acceptable for YOUR personal dietary restrictions if need be.  I don't count calories or fat but I do watch my protein like a hawk and to a lesser degree now that I'm maintaining my below goal weight carbs.  I'm constantly changing regular recipes to suit MY needs.
