I don't know if onions is good for us or not but over Christmas I tried this onion and it was so good and set well in my pouch so I made one last night and eating leftovers today. I can't eat but a little bit at a time.

1 large onion, cut out the center
1 pat butter or whatever you use
1 beef bouillon cube

Put the bouillon cube and butter into the center of onion and then wrapped the onion in foil and bake at 350 degrees for about an hour.

You gave me a million ideas with this!  I could see me adding this to a dish after it was cooked and just giving a ton of flavor to it!  What a super idea!  such an easy concept and I never even thought about it...

That's why this forum is so cool!

I know it has been almost 1 month since you posted this recipe but, I just wanted to let you know I have made it twice since seeing it here.  I love them!!!  No one else in my house will eat an onion, and they gripe about the smell (toooo bad).  I was kind of getting tired of eating the same old thing and this was easy to make and soooo delicious.

Thanks to all who contribute their culinary skills to those of us who have NO skill.

You can also put the wrapped onion on the BBQ for about an hour.  I love it with hamburgers and steaks.  So flavorful!
