Fage

Ok....I'm 3 months out. In those 3 months I have bought 4 containers of Fage. I have let everyone of them go bad in the fridge because I was scared of them. I HATE yogurt. Day before yesterday I bought my 5th container of Fage. I just tried it...I know...I'm very brave. I took part of a container of Fage (2%, I'm not THAT brave), mixed a packet of Truvia, a little sf caramel syrup, a little sf vanilla syrup and 3 chopped frozen strawberries in it....and....I can SO eat this!!!!!

Moral: don't judge a greek yogurt by it's looks, smell or name.

I have surprised myself many times at the things I have eaten post surgery that I never ate before.  Conversely, there are things I loved prior to WLS, that I absolutely don't like any more.   Don't be surprised if this happens to you again.  Cheers!   Gail

I use it a lot like I would sour cream. Mix in chili, taco meat, etc..

Hi-I love greek yogurt.  I buy the plain variety.  I had RNY 5 1/2 yrs ago and am doing well (250 lbs then to 125 lbs now).  I take the greek yogurt and put some onion soup mix in it and snack on soy crisps and onion dip.  Lot of protein in both the greek yogurt and the soy crisps.  I also put salsa in the greek yogurt  as a dip.  I use it like I would use sour cream, the plain tastes just like it to me. donna

If you have a Trader Joe's near you they also offer Greek Yogurt. I've had the blueberry and pomegranate, and both are delish.. love the protein amount too...

*Sigh* Alas...No Trader Joe's in Texas. I keep seeing posts about them but I don't think they have them anywhere in Texas. I'm guessing (from what people talk about that they buy there) that it's similar to Central Market or Whole Foods. And the pomegranate sounds YUMMY! I love pomegranates!!!!
