Hey all,
I tried this recipe for a whole chicken done in the crock pot, it was so good. The chicken was lifted onto aluminum foil balls. I used the version with potatoes wrapped in foil.

I was so impressed, I wonder if there is something similar for pork ribs????

Happy Friday,

Here are two different rib recipes for the crockpot:

Barbecued Pork
2 lbs. boneless pork top loin or ribs
1 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. diet soda (cola is traditional but you can substitute other flavors)
3/4 c. barbecue sauce (low sugar if you can find some)

Combine all ingredients in a crockpot. Cook covered on high for 5-6 hours or until meat is very tender. Drain and slice or shred pork loin or eat the ribs.

Ribs N Kraut
2 lbs country style pork ribs
1 medium Granny smith apple, diced
1/2 medium onion, sliced
16 oz sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
3 tbs Splenda
1/2 tsp blackstrap molasses
1 tsp caraway seeds
1/4 cup dry white wine
Put the ribs, apple, and onion in your slow cooker. Cover with the sauerkraut. In a bowl, stir together the Splenda, molasses, caraway seeds, and wine. Pour the mixture over the sauerkraut and ribs. Cover the slow cooker, set it to low, and let it cook for 8 hours.
