Taco in a Bag

Here is a dinner idea -  taco in a bag.  I got the little 100 calorie packs of doritoes and made some taco meat.   I just crushed up the doritoes, and added a spoonful of meat with cheese on top followed by some lettuce and salsa.  The only thing I was missing was some sour cream!  Then I just threw the bag away.  Very few dishes, just what I like!.   I live by myself so I just plan on dividing the taco meat into little containers and freezing it for later use.  It seems like an ok idea post surgery.  If not, let me know!  LOL

it's sounds like a good idea. But instead of doritos why don't you try soy chips, specifically glenny's. This way you have some crunch with added nutriotional/protein value. imo

Sounds yummy. You could even top it with a little greek yogurt. Tastes a lot like sour cream but only adds extra protein.

Aphrodities, Where do you get Glennys soy chips. Sound good!

Well where I live I find them in my local Publix supermarket, but they are getting really popular. So you can find them usually anywhere you go. They have lower calories then the usual soy chips and taste, imo, way better. I recently tried the barbq flavor, and they are officially my new favorite snack. lol gl

I could think of better "deals" for 100 calories but I have had these walking tacos at carnivals (also made with Fritos)

The ultimate answer depends on the meal providing satiety.  If it does, the meal is fine.  You could also server the taco fixins inside, say, 1/2 of a baked acorn squash.  I doubt you could eat the entire thing and 1/2 the squash is 90 calories which is less than the Doritos.

For me, calories are like money, I spend them trying to get the most for my investment.
