Each doctors regime is so different. What does your doctor have you on? I am only two weeks out but can eat almost anything in very small amounts as long as I chew it all to paste consistency before I swallow.

HI Amanda!

I had Dr. Robert too, he is pretty strict on making sure your eating the proper foods.  By now your on the pureed foods or mushy foods, right?

I ate a ton of baby foods (stage 2), I also ate re-fried beans in 1/2 a corn tortilla (just warmed up) and I chewed until there was nothing left to chew, semi soft cheese, a tuna stuffed tomatoes, sliced sandwich meat wrapped around a ripe tomato or piece of soft cheese, instant mashed potatoes made in chicken broth instead of milk and butter, Apple sauce No sugar added, baked sweet potato slightly sweetened w/ splenda... stuff like that

Recipes:
you can make Chicken Spaghetti ...
Bake a spaghetti squash  by cutting it in half and bake at 350 for like 30-45 mins with them facing down. Boil a few boneless chicken thighs, in a separate pan put some marinara sauce add some stewed Italian flavored tomatoes, and some Italian tomato paste, flavor to taste. After chicken is fully cooked place the cooked chicken in the Marinara sauce and let them stew (this will make the chicken very tender).

When the squash is done cooking you can remove the seeds, and Separate the "meat" of the squash from the skin using a spoon or butter knife.  They should come up similar to spaghetti strings.

Serve by plating the spaghetti squash then add the marinara and chicken.  Before you eat cut everything into tiny pieces like you would for a toddler or so.  And make sure you chew chew chew!!!

***** Note you can also add onion, green bell pepper, and Mushroom if you like a chunkier sauce.  I've made it both ways but I prefer the added veggies.
