Can we have honey. I need it, lol. For my sweet potatoes. I heard someone say that it was natural sugar so it was OK I just wanted some input. TIA.

I used some Honey in a Frosting I made for my anniversary and it worked out fine for me and my guest (one was a WLS Graduate)!!!

I know too much can be dangerous so use caution, maybe try an experimental pre-Thanksgiving Sweet Potaotes  I'd try using Spenda or even the Splenda Brown Sugar Mix to add to the Honey.

Sweet unsalted Butter may help with the flavoring...

Just a few ideas....

I have not tried honey yet, my guess is it woudl depend upon how much is in the dish.  I have seen "sugar-free" honey at Walmart, but I have not tried it yet.  I am not sure how many carbs, sugars are in this honey.

Good luck

I have made my own honey mustard and tolerated it ok, I guess (felt a little yuck for a couple of minutes but store bought h/m does me the same way). I can also tolerate about 1 TBSP of molasses. I plan on using molasses in my sweet tater casserole this year.

WalMart has  "sugar free" honey. I have used it in Pecan pies and it does real well.
