I know that we do not need things that are greasy, but I must say that this is not and it is very moist and delish!!!!

FRIED TURKEY SEASONING
  2 oz salt
1 oz black pepper
1 oz crushed red pepper
1 oz accent
1 oz garlic powder
1 oz chili powder
1 oz Lowrys Seasoned Salt
1 oz Mrs Dash's Extra Spicy
Wash Turkey, pat dry, spray with Pam, coat turkey thickly with spices the night before and wrap with plastic wrap to help keep spices in place.  Refridgerate overnight at least. This should coat a 10-12 lb turkey inside and out.  Just before placing in hot oil remove the plastic wrap.

Cook in preheated peanut oil at 325 degrees for 4 minutes per pound.

Oh how I wish I had a deep fryer for the turkey. My brother-inlaw useually does our turkey's in the deep fryer but this year they are going else where with his deep fryer. But I'll keep this recipe in mind for christmas. Thanks christine (internetnut)

A friend of mine cooks hers in a crockpot (turkey breast only..could do the whoel turkey if your crockpot is big enough) w/ FF Zesty Italian Dressing poured over it. Cooks it on low all day or all night if having it for lunch. It is fall off the bone tender and very tastey.

Sounds great! My future hubby is getting our turkey from work today so I'm not sure just how big it will be. But I will keep this method in mind for a turkey breast. Thanks so much! Christine (internetnut)
