OATMEAL COOKED AND MILK

HELLO EVERYONE;
I HAD MY ROUX-EN-Y DECEMBER 26, 2008.
I have been able to eat almost everything
so far.  I guess I became sort of bold,
and tried to eat some oatmeal, with whole milk.
At first it went down okay, and after about 10 or 15 minutes
I started getting the pickups, then belching,
and the next thing I was throwing up.
I was wondering if anybody has a problem with this.
I don't think it was the amount, because I have been able to drink a half a glass
before bedtime.  I live in California, and whole milk is legal.
However I read an article, and the paper that the company has been sued
civilly, because they have had a couple recalls and the last couple years
and they are selling out across state lines.  They are labeling it for pet food.
I was wondering if anybody has had this kind of problem.
Hope to hear from you all, smoochy

I had a problem with milk in general for about 2 years after my RNY.  For some reason it made me dump and I don't know why.  I changed to soy milk for that time and it was great!  I never sit and drink milk still though, it just doesn't sit right.  You might want to try changing to 2% and then work your way toward 1% or fat-free (because of the calories)  I know my doctor does not want me drinking whole because it has such a high calorie count, I've never like it much anyway because it's so heavy and thick but that's personal preference.
Hope this helps!

Get rid of the whole milk, as theres too much fat in it...Even 2 % will make me dump...Try using 1 % milk, or skim...You will probably find out that its the milk causing you the trouble...Good luck

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only TRUE FRIENDS will leave footprints in your heart...And may that friendship have such a ONENESS that when one weeps the other will taste salt...Friends are like balloons ; once you let them go you can't get them back....So I'm going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

Why are you eating things so soon? December 26, 2008 is not here yet ...... I didn't eat milk products like this until further out.  I am almost 3 years post op and still can't tolerate milk unless it is skim or 1%.  I try not to drink a lot of it but do like it with my protein powder heated up and drink like hot chocolate.
