INGREDIENTS
  • 1 (6 pound) bone-in turkey breast
  • 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix

DIRECTIONS

  1. Rinse the turkey breast and pat dry. Cut off any excess skin, but leave the skin covering the breast. Rub onion soup mix all over outside of the turkey and under the skin. Place in a slow cooker. Cover, and cook on High for 1 hour, then set to Low, and cook for 7 hours

Sometimes you just put one foot in front of the other, even if you don't know where you're going.

Hi Heidi S,

Now this sounds terrific! I'll give it a try after my next grocery store visit. I bet the turkey comes out really moist. Never thought of doing a whole turkey breast. Thanks for posting.

I only get turkey breast as well... it is well worth the money... there is no waste because we don't eat the dark meat... I buy it through out the year I get the butcher to split the breast into 3 lbs for me... Enjoy your turkey Patti.....

Do you have to put any liquid such as water or broth around the bottom of the turkey breast to keep it from sticking, burning?  Does it not go dry without any liquid around it?  This sounds delicious...

Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only TRUE FRIENDS will leave footprints in your heart...And may that friendship have such a ONENESS that when one weeps the other will taste salt...Friends are like balloons ; once you let them go you can't get them back....So I'm going to tie you to my heart so I never lose you.

You don't have to put liquid on the bottom and it does stay moist because it cooks in its own juices. I do know some will add 1/2 water to bottom. I will sometimes smear a couple of pats of butter on the inside of my slow cooker.

Heidi S,

I am cooking my turkey breast today and after one hour, the house smells great! I can hardly wait until later today when it's finshed.
