Back from the hospital
I just got home from the hospital and didn't find out much other than my pouch is doing good and they think its GERD but I've never had any pain like this. I didn't do blood work or nothing just had me to go to x-ray and do a barium drinking test and it showed that everything was good. Then I had to drink Maalox with some numbing medience to see if helped with the pain and wanting to throw up and I guess it helped a little so that's how he came to the GERD. Of course he said I needed to talk with Dr. Miles to see what he thinks and was also told to take Maalox before and after each meal. So we will see how tomorrow is.

Maalox??? wow, I haven't heard of a doctor telling a patient to use that in 20 years! Pepcid AC , Tagamet HB , Zantac AC, or Prilosec are much better options for longer periods of time than maalox...(you must chew the pills vs drinking maalox though)
As ong as you feel better it doesn't matter what you take... i would just think about taking something that reacts against GERD for longer periods of time. I'm happy that you don't have a stricture!
See ya!
