I know we need to look out for the sugar alcohols, but is there a list of sweetners besides splenda that we can use....Thanks! ...Janee'

Janee...

there are los of sweetners that you could have.....  you can go to netrition.com and look at the large selection they have....  some are sugar alochol though, but sometimes you can handle a small amount and work our way up...depending on the type of surgery you have...

Some of those listed also look great on paper but are terrible to cook with...so beware of which one you choose!

T. Thank you!...I had the RNY on 9/2004 I've lost 100lbs. Just a little bit has creeped back so this week I did the 5DPT and now I'm back on track. I was looken at some great recipes for the holidays and noticed that a pecan pie recipe called for Steel's syrup and that has Malitol sweetner in it. I'm not very savy on all the sweetners that is safe, I use splenda, stevia and Gava Nectar. I appreciate your help.!.....Janee'

My 2 favorites are splenda and liquid stevia.  The stevia comes in different flavors.  I like lemon, orange and english toffee.  They're great in water, ricotta, yogurt....
