I started making my chicken salad with light cream cheese as the binder instead of mayo.  It's so creamy & delicious!!

Here is the difference in stats:  (Serving size is 2 Tablespoons)

                    Calories          Fat          Carbs           Protein
Mayo:          180                   20g           0g                  0g

Lite CC:        70                   5g              2g                 2g

I use Philadelphia Cream Cheese   1/3 less fat    I add a dash of garlic salt & pepper to the mix & it's yummmmo lunch!

for those that feel they just have to have mayo Kraft mayo with olive oil is a reduced fat mayo

For 2 tablespoons

                                     Calories                  FAt                      Carbs                  protein
Mayo w/Olive Oil             90                          8                            4                          0

at least better than full fat mayo.  I am going to try the cream cheese and the sour cream ideas.  Thanks guys.

Brilliant-thanks for such a great idea! I'll have to try it in tuna, too.

I have been using fat free cream cheese instead of the reduced or fat free mayo for a while.
1 brick of fat free cream cheese per 3 cans of tuna, some cayanne pepper and or some hot sauce, salt and pepper.  Some times I will add some of the Mt. Olive s/f pickle relish and onion pieces as well.

I enjoy this much more than the fat free mayo.  It is cream and you can spice it up however you like.  I have also done it with chicken and with shrimp.

What a great idea!  Pre-band I used cream cheese indiscriminately when I was out of sour cream - on baked potatoes, in mashed potatoes, in dips, etc.  Love to cut cals and boost protein.
