The approaching monster

The Hurricane is coming!  After having a big earthquake just a few days ago, you'd have hought we would catch a little break...lol...but hey, even living in paradise has it's drawbacks and can't be paradise all of the time...HA!

Heya gang!  I try to stay up to date on questions and email as much as I can, but there's Hurricane Omar knocking on my door this afternoon at a category 2 strength, but it's concentrated instead of being spread out....so this one may prodce some big damage to the islands...

SOOOO....  I'll probably be offline for several days....and I also volunteer with the American Red Cross to help the other islanders who don't have much to lose in the first place.  Wish some good thoughts my way and maybe one of them will stick and spare the damage that people think we're gonna receive from this power-packed monster...

I'll be back on line when we have power and a connection back to the real world....

See ya...

Well girls, someone must have been throwing some good luck our way....we got just a little bit of rain and some wind....most tropical storms are worse than what we got, so I count myself and my fellow islanders lucky.  Omar was very strong (125 mph winds), but luckily he was concentrated and narrow....Just like hurrican IKE, it could have been bad, but somehow at the last minute, he decided to spare the BVI and the USVI.  thanks for your thoughts and good wishes...they came in handy.....

See...you're not just handy in the kitchen... wink, wink...

Thomas,

Glad to hear that you are ok and were spared the brunt of the storm.  The power of prayer is a great thing.
