Protein Coffee
Hey Foodies,
Its me the novice learning how to cook. I found a wonderful easy way to get protein into the body early in the morning....especially in the morning when the band is way too tight to eat anything. I make my morning coffee and when my cup of joe get warm I add a scoop of protein powder. It taste like a latte. And I get 25 grams of protein to start my exhusting day.
I know that this might sound very elementary to you great chefs....but forgive me I am a newbie in the kitchen....but I feel as if I have just discovered the wheel. And I wanted to share with other new or wanna be chefs.....my grand discovery.
Now, I am sure that you experienced foodies have improved upon this idea and I am so awaiting your ideas....and please be kind to me when you read this and try not to laugh too hard....we new cooks can be sensitive .....
Hugs Susan

I have Click in the mornings. I absolutely love the stuff. It tastes great and I get the flavor of coffee and chocolate with the added benefits of protein. I think it's the only way to get started.

Hi Susan-
I make this every morning too. I use Unjury chocolate. I put a scoop and a half in a inch of cold water and add a spoon of instant coffee crystals, a little SF syrup (english toffee is good), and a little milk. I then stir it up and let it sit there for about 5 minutes while I blow dry my hair. Unjury has a way of foaming up a bit by itself if you let it sit there then you don't need a blender or mixer to get it mixed well. When I come back I add ho****er and it comes out perfect every time. With the milk and cold water I do not have to worry about the ho****er making the protein turn grainy from getting too hot. It is so good and I don't get tired of it because I change the SF syrup flavors.
I'm glad you found something you like that is easy for you to do.

I used de-caf for a long time but switched to regular this summer. I buy Torani SF syrup at Smart & Final. They have another brand too there. It starts with an A. Something like Ambiance. I buy whatever is on sale. Cost-Plus World Market sells the SF syrup too.
I really resisted using it for a long time but now use it every day.
